PolyPerception, started by Rafael, Nicolas and Parshva in 2021, has the goal of using Artificial Intelligence to provide real-time data and insights to waste sorting and recycling facilities, as we transition towards a circular economy. They started the company with an innovation subsidy from the city of Antwerp and they were given a boost through pre-seed funding from imec.istart. As they grew, they required further financing for scaling up and so they turned to Trividend and Citizenfund. As Parshva said “ PolyPerception is a startup, however we don’t believe in growth for the sake of growth”. They want to truly create long-term value in our society with the use of Artificial Intelligence, and they wanted to have financing partners who also embodied their vision.
