Konligo’s dream is to contribute to a zero waste event industry by providing eye-catching and sustainable temporary structures (stands, tents, etc.) that are no longer installed in several days but in less than one hour.

Konligo BV is a VUB spin-off based in Brussels and supported by VUB and Innoviris. It is the result of more than 15 years of research on innovative lightweight and transformable structures.

Currently temporary structures for outdoor or indoor events are generally not designed to be re-used and/or to have a long lifespan. We offer a sustainable alternative by using our expertise in scissor technology and designing a 100% made in Belgium kit made of recycled aluminium that provides temporary structures with a long lifespan, modular so that they can be adapted over time and re-usable for different kinds of applications.

Besides the sustainable approach, Konligo offers an ideal combination between on the one side an attractive pop-up structure (for outdoor or indoor events) and on the other side a compact structure, that is easy to transport, store and set-up and that is safe to use.

Konligo participated in our third matchmaking session @Hub.Brussels on 28 October 2019 and raised about 400,000 EUR of equity funding thanks to investments from Trividend and the crowdfunding platform Lita.co, and received a grant of 80,000 EUR from BeCircular, as well as a 45% grant for an R&D project from Innoviris (grant amount: +/- 100k€). Thanks to this funding, Konligo has developed during the Covid period a much more modular and sustainable product, with a Belgian production in “short circuit”.

In the meantime, Konligo is present in Belgium, France and the Netherlands and has customers such as Pairi Daiza, Proximus, Mercedes, the European Commission, etc.
