Justice42

Justice42 is a Netherlands-based social enterprise supported by both the European impact investing fund SI² Fund and Hiil (The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law) foundation. Aiming to make Dutch law more accessible and user-friendly, this company develops online dispute resolution tools that focus on respect and collaboration as an alternative to litigation and the conflict angle it entails. Starting with divorces, they created the uitelkaar.nl platform that leads couples wanting to separate through a guided mediation process.

Clients are given the tools and support to take charge of the process and shape best solution for themselves and their children, at their own pace and at a low cost. Furthermore, it makes procedures evidence based with measured results, allowing the company to continuously finetune its model. Justice42 is the only legal company certified by the Raad voor Rechtsbijstand (the Board of Legal Aid) and has been put forward as excellent example of legal innovation by the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security and the UN taskforce for Justice.
