Interview with Fred, partner at WEDOGOOD


WEDOGOOD joined Solifin’s network as member in January 2022 and we are really happy to welcome them on board. Frédéric Joseph, Partner, kindly agreed to answer some questions for an interview.

Who are you and what is your role in the company ?

My name is Fred. I have spent the last 15 years as general manager of various companies, in the UK, US and France. I am a business angel and partner at WEDOGOOD, where my role is focused on international business development, both in terms of looking for the best projects and finding relevant investors.

What was your motivation in joining/creating WEDOGOOD and what makes it unique?

WEDOGOOD is designed to democratize finance and to fund the most interesting, innovative and successful projects in the area of GOOD. Our funding model based on Revenue Based Finance (share of revenue, no equity, no dilution) is unique. Its purpose is to help change finance and to help build projects that will make the world a better place.

How does your organisation succeed in its mission so far?

So far we have raised more than €8m and funded more than 160 projects with economic, environment and social positive impact.

What are your main challenges for the years to come?

We want to raise awareness of our very unique Revenue Based Finance model and build new funding products across the European Union markets.

Why was it important for you to join Solifin and what are your expectations?

Joining SOLIFIN is a landmark for us to raise our awareness in Belgium and start developing our unique Revenue Based Finance funding model in this very dynamic market. Our expectation is to fund a dozen good projects per year in Belgium in the areas of ethical economy, environment and positive social impact.
